Admissions

Anderida Learning Centre (ALC) accepts young persons aged between 11 and 18. ALC is currently registered for 8 young persons at any one time. ALC uses external provisions which allow up to 10 young persons; this includes both our educational sites.

The following paperwork will be requested for any admissions for Anderida Learning Centre:

  • Case history

  • Education Health Care Plan (if applicable) or other SEN paperwork

  • Any previous PEP

  • Any other relevant paperwork for education

  • Medical history

  • Previous Risk assessment

If the young persons paperwork indicates we can meet their needs, we will initiate a meeting between the Head of Centre or the deputy, the young person (if appropriate), and any other relevant people. A decision will be made on the suitability of the young person for the school, after reviewing all relevant information.

If we feel that we are able to meet the young person's needs, a provisional education package will be put together which is individually tailored based upon the application and needs highlighted in the initial meeting and if applicable the young person’s EHCP or Statement of special educational needs. This package will then be discussed with the young person and a start date arranged.
